Runway Recap: Bikini.com x newMARK
And our debut Bikini.com x newMARK Models runway show is in the books! Here's the best of the best, from the luxe Parisian cuts from Amaio Swim to Lee + Lani's wild child vibes, there's not a single second you'd want to miss.
The show started with a bang, featuring the lively, high-end suits from Rosa Cha. Tropical prints are totally in, and Rosa Cha hit the mark with colorful patterns and sophisticated cuts. Model Natalie B stole our hearts in a deep-V one-piece swimsuit that you can pre-order right now, along with the rest of the looks from the show.
LeSwim brought the modern, minimalist angle that we were expecting. Understated pieces were elevated by elegant cuts and timeless details like contrast stitching and mesh inserts. We were especially partial to this aubergine one-piece swimsuit with metallic ring hardware.
Lee + Lani went wild with jaguar prints and hard-edge chain accessories like garters and belts. We can't get enough of the extreme high-cut bottoms – for brave beach babes only.
Next up was MGS, who brought flirtatious floral prints in alluring cuts that complement any woman's feminine side. Knot front ties were a staple, showing us that this adorable detail will make its way into 2019.
Free-spirited energy and delicate, ditsy floral prints made an effortlessly bohemian statement for MGS. Shannon Barker beamed in a mustard yellow maillot that we bet she'll be hitting the waves in soon.
Amaio Swim impressed with Parisian grace in all-classic black and ivory. (The one on the right, above, is instant Paris-girl chic.) Luxuriously smooth fabrics were finished with jacquard texture that elevated each chic look. Topped with tailored jackets, we're sure to see Amaio Swim pieces on style tastemakers soon.
The show ended with a performance by Kim Viera, an up-and-coming artist whose most recent work includes a track with Daddy Yankee. And with that, Bikini.com's Miami Swim Week debut concluded. Thank you to our sponsor, DrinkAde, for keeping us hydrated and healthy throughout the show. And a special shout-out to participating brands like The Beach People, Bijoux Indiscrets, Tavi Noir, Bristols Six, TKEES, Pily Q, and Sunnylife! Luckily, the week has only just begun, so stay tuned for more runway coverage from South Beach – coming soon!
