Perfect Your Morning With This Peachy Keen Smoothie

This week, I have whipped up a rendition of fresh red raspberries combined with sweet, ripe white peaches. A scoop of your favorite allergy-friendly protein powder adds a boost toward your daily protein intake, and the addition of ground flaxseed or chia seed contributes to hitting your daily fiber. BOOM. 

Note: If you're having a hard time finding fresh raspberries and peaches, substitute in frozen and skip the cup of ice in the recipe. Feel free to add your favorite smoothie boosters, too. Go buck wild, in fact. A few of my favorites are listed below, but the possibilities and combinations are endless! 

Superfood Powders

  • Maca powder
  • Acai powder
  • Spirulina powder 

Added Fiber & Protein

  • Chia seed
  • Ground flaxseed
  • Hemp seed

Thick & Creamy Factor

  • Banana
  • Cooked pumpkin
  • Roasted sweet potato
  • Roasted butternut squash

Veggie Boost

  • Cucumber
  • Kale
  • Spinach
  • Celery
  • Carrot
  • Beets

Fresh Herbs & Spices

  • Fresh mint
  • Fresh ginger
  • A pinch of fresh ground cinnamon

Raspberry White Peach Smoothie

Prep time: 5 minutes  |  Total time: 5 minutes  |  Servings: 1 smoothie

Ingredients

  • 1 cup fresh red raspberries
  • 1 organic white peach, pitted & quartered
  • 1 cup green tea, chilled
  • 1 cup ice
  • 1 scoop allergy friendly protein powder
  • 1 tablespoon ground flaxseed or chia seed
  • pinch of fresh ground cinnamon

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients in a blender or food processor in the order listed above and pulse until smooth.  
  2. Pour into a chilled glass and top with additional raspberries and your favorite smoothie toppings.
