Cool Off With This Agua Fresca Drink
Once the heat of the season really kicks in, we find ourselves craving cold, cold drinks all day and night. While adding extra ice to your lemonade or iced tea certainly does the trick, amping up your cool-off game with an agua fresca (it literally means 'cool water' in Spanish) is another smart move.
A thirst-quencing combo of blended fresh fruits poured over ice, this cooler makes for a gorgeous party drink. Bon Appetit's watermelon and grapefruit version is one of our favorites, but you can literally come up with countless variations. Take a cue from traditional latin flavors and try it with pineapple or mango, adding a hint of lemon or lime as you see fit.
Another great thing about an agua fresca? It becomes an insanely delicious cocktai when you swirl in a bit of booze: think tequila or vodka for adding a kick without distracting from the fresh fruit flavor. Pool party time will never be the same!
